Nehalem Valley Care is a Non Profit, Community Owned Facility

Excellent Care -Nursing Home (1)Our five person Board of Directors is made up of local citizens elected to four-year terms.  Together they oversee the operations of our non profit center.

Our board also governs Nehalem Bay Health District.  The District, located south of Wheeler, above Highway 101, was formed in 1953 for the benefit of North Tillamook County residents.   The District has no debt.  It continues to receive timber money and a small property tax levy.  The bulk of the District’s operating revenues are from building rents, primarily to medical professionals. The District also hosts a KMUN public radio NehalemValley repeater and is a designated American Red Cross shelter. The conference center is the Emergency Operations Center for the City of Wheeler.
